Welcome to the adventure

Dear parents, this will be where you can read about and see photos of what is happening on our journey every day.  Each day, we hope you can read it around dinner time and respond with a comment so that your kids can know you are thinking about them while having breakfast.  Please participate; it really keeps things light and fun when 18+ strangers are together for 9 days.

Day 1 and 2 Here we go! No better way to kick off our summer than with a life-changing trip to Europe.  Thank you for your early arrival to DIA. It definitely helped make for a smooth check-in. We got checked in and a picture taken all in 30 minutes, well done. We all made it through security without much special attention from TSA… no one seemed to have a bag full of liquids or forget to pull out their electronics from their bags. Off to a great start! Day 3 - Just like a Parisian...

  Day 3 After a much-needed night's rest and a nice breakfast, we were off to the sights and sounds of Paris. The question this morning was not “did you get some sleep?” but rather “HOW did you sleep?” Because we know that all slept and it was better than anything the night before. We actually had to go wake some sleeping beauties up. They nearly missed breakfast but rallied quite nicely.  After the morning meal, we headed to the metro to get to the city center. Once there, we met with our tour bus or “coach” for the city tour. Our local guide, Jacqueline, was a little late arriving, so Daniele gave the entire bus an origami lesson using our metro ticket. We made a frog! It jumps…cool, huh?
